Oops, Obama's an R-Word

Thursday, March 19, 2009

He said so himself. Stick to the script, BO! You're lost without the teleprompter!

When Leno was talking to Prez Obama about his bowling, Obama said,

"like the Special Olympics or something"

Or was he talking about his budget and stimulus plan? I can't remember, now.

That was so special olympics of him.

Pretty r-worded, if you ask me.

Here is something that you might want to take a look at: Obama appologizes to people with disabilities and Special Olympics: http://bit.ly/13H3Eg.

No one is perfect who is human.

Will,

I'm sure your comment would have been identical if Bush had said the same, right?

If Bush had said this the firestorm would have dwarfed the Apocalypse. No one can deny the double standard at this point. I guess saying "strategery" is a really big deal, but to insult a whole group of people in an offhand, casual way is "merely human." Gag me.

And the word verification is "oveducki". Awesome.

Ya, if Bush said this the left would be all over him and the right would cry about how stupid the left is for concentrating on such a pointless issue...funny how the tables turn. In the end, hypocrisy has no idealogy.

McQ said...

Negatory on the hypocrisy on this one, DB. From all of the right-wing shows I've listened to, they're all saying, "get over it". . .Even Glenn Beck- his son has CP. He said, "As a son with CP- can we get over this political correctness?"

DB said...

Well, if Glenn Beck said it...

How does that adress the fact it still made it to a blog post?

McQ said...

DB, I'm probably the least PC person you know- so you have to know I don't care that Obama said this. I posted this to show that

1. Omama is an R-word.
2. Being PC is overrated.
3. Obama blows it when he isn't reading off a teleprompter.
4. I needed to make a post and this was the most entertaining story I had read that day.
5. Even the worst special olympic bowlers are better than Obama, even when he uses bumpers, because Obama is pants-on-head retarded.

Don't get me wrong, I know exactly why you wrote it and I agree with you. I am just saying that when it comes to politics it doesn't matter what side one is on, hypocrisy has no ideology. This isn't about the post per se (though it highlights my point), it is about the concept in general. The left would have jumped on Bush and the right would have cried. We are just turning the tables.

Notice how Bush couldn't do anything right, the left called him out on it, and the right cried. Now we just turn the tables. Obama can't do anything right, the right calls him out, the left cries. Hypocrisy has no ideology. I guarantee Obama's next gaffe will become blog posts everywhere. That's just how it works. The 'right' during Obama is no different than the 'left' during Bush.

Except that no one is trying to name a sewage plant after Obama. Dems treated Bush worse than any president has ever been treated, and by a big margin.

DB said...

I am not disagreeing with you on how they treated Bush, I am just saying that when the tables turn everyone on both sides ends up being hypocrites. Dems treated Bush poorly, so it that has become a ralling cry to return the favor which is exactly my point.

where'd you go, boys?

DB said...

Moving from Japan to Africa and all the preparation leading up to it...blogging is taking a back seat. Plus, the world has gone to hell, right? What more is there to blog on?

Khaki Elephant said...

Where in Africa?

And the world has gone to hell . . . but that gives me more to bitch about

I'll be in Tripoli, Libya for the next two to three years and hopefully somewhere else in the region after that. Should be interesting!
